The Adelaide Hills Visitor Information Centre (AHVIC) located at 41 main Street, Hahndorf is an accredited centre under the [WWW]South Australian Tourism Commission.

It is dedicated to providing a wide range of tourist and other related information for the Adelaide Hills region of South Australia to local, interstate and international visitors, businesses and tourism representatives.

The Adelaide Hills region in South Australia is an ideal destination just 20 minutes or so drive south-easterly from the capital city Adelaide.
Travel through the 'Heysen Tunnels' to Crafers, Stirling, Aldgate and Bridgewater and then on to Hahndorf, Mount Barker or Macclesfield. Alternatively, turn off via
Verdun to Oakbank, Woodside, Birdwood and Lobethal.

You can stay at any of the local motels, bed and breakfasts, or caravan parks for day-trips around the undulating hills with magnificent scenery and views. Please enjoy the many art, craft, antique shops and galleries located within a pioneer and multi-cultural atmosphere. Taste the wines from the many boutique wineries located in the region.

We are certain that all visitors and tourists will enjoy their visit within this varied and fascinating region of South Australia.

The volunteer staff in attendance will provide friendly, informative and relevant information regarding the Adelaide Hills region either by 'phone, fax, email, or by personal contact at the centre.

The range of information and services that can be provided includes the following :-

A limited Web-Based email facility is available on site for a nominal charge.
